Accounting for tension in transverse bending of statically indeterminate elastic rods

چکیده

For statically indeterminate rod structures with excess constraints in the horizontal direction, tension forces arise under transverse loading, significantly affecting stress-strain state of rods compared to similar caused by bending alone (in absence longitudinal constraints). This fact requires computational analysis, and this work, analytical dependencies deflection magnitude due loading were obtained for cases clamped-clamped two hinged supports ends based on derived Lagrangian principles mechanics. Based dependencies, a graphical method was developed determine axial force given stiffness considered cases. These results can be applied study direction loading.
